Shiitake

Shiitake also known as Lentinus Edodes is a woody mushroom with a hard ligneous stem and large meaty brown caps.

Shiitake Mushrooms are a traditional delicacy in Japan, Korea, and China. For at least a thousand years, Shiitake mushrooms have been grown on logs outdoors in the temperate mountainous reasons of Asia. To this day, shiitakes are as the most popular of all the gourmet mushrooms.
